This cozy café carries a comforting quietness that invites you to slow down and savor the moment, whether you're settling in with a book or catching up with friends around one of their wooden tables. The pace here is unhurried, marked by the gentle hum of espresso machines and the soft murmur of contented visitors.
Inside, the air is fragrant with the buttery aroma of freshly baked pastries and the rich, enticing scent of coffee. There’s a genuine sense of familiarity—you might find yourself drawn to the display of délicieux treats that beckon with delicate layers and vibrant colors. From flaky almond croissants to tender cherry strudels, each bite carries a whisper of European baking traditions lovingly translated for Australian tastes.
The coffee is quietly exceptional, a cornerstone of the experience here. The bakery’s savory options—slices of quiche or hearty pies with rich fillings—offer satisfying heartiness that complements the lighter, fruit-laden tarts and delicate eclairs. There’s a rhythmic charm in choosing your own combination for an open sandwich, where fresh, crisp vegetables meet soft, freshly baked bread.

Best coffee and pretzels - ever! Service is fantastic too. My day wouldn’t be complete without my visit to Schwarzes Plus, every now and then I get something special for my family and it’s always so delicious. Highly recommend.

We ordered hot beverages: flat white, mocha, and chai latte. Only took pic of mocha. They were perfect for rainy day. We love that they have free parking next to the cafe.

Bakery Patisserie Schwarz is truly a hidden gem in the Blue Mountains. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the most welcoming atmosphere and the warmest service. The lady at the counter is so lively and charming—she makes everyone feel at home with her kind smile and genuine hospitality. Their coffee is easily one of the best we’ve had in the region—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. To go with it, we had a biscuit with coffee and tried an almond croissant, and both were absolutely delightful. The croissant was especially memorable—so buttery, flaky, and fresh, with just the right balance of sweetness from the almonds. Every bite was a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It’s the kind of place that not only serves amazing food and coffee but also leaves you with a warm, happy feeling. If you’re visiting the Blue Mountains, this patisserie is a must-visit. You won’t just find great bakery treats—you’ll experience genuine hospitality and a place that feels special.

Visited an old bakery in the Blue Mountains and tried their pretzel, scone, and open melt sandwich. The pretzel was familiar but good, while the scone with cream and strawberry jam was incredibly soft and delicious. The open melt sandwich lets you choose your own ingredients, and the combination I picked turned out great. The veggies were really fresh, and the bread was soft and tasty. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to next time I’m in the Blue Mountains.

Pretty tasty pie, and everything is exquisite. Apple pie is one of the best, with apples that you can really taste the sweet savory goodness of them, as well as the cinnamon, its was really the best. Other things i ate are great too, like the beef and mushroom pie. Overall 10/10, would come back.
